Providing Occupational Therapy in Sydney

Faith

Hi, my name is Faith, and I am an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting people to live more independent, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. I work with individuals across the lifespan and particularly enjoy supporting clients in community settings, where therapy is closely connected to real-life goals and everyday routines.

As an Occupational Therapist, my role is to support people to participate in the activities that matter most to them. This may include personal care, fine motor skills, household tasks, community access, emotional regulation, work, study, social participation, or leisure activities. I take a holistic and client-centred approach, meaning I work closely with each individual to understand their strengths, needs, goals, and lived experiences. I strongly believe that therapy should be practical, respectful, and tailored to the individual rather than a "one size fits all" approach.

I am experienced in completing a range of assessments, including Assistive Technology (AT), Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA), Supported Independent Living (SIL), and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments. I value the importance of clear, accurate, and person-centred reporting and aim to ensure that all assessments truly reflect a person's functional abilities, challenges, strengths, and goals. In addition to assessments, I provide strength-based, individualised interventions to support areas such as emotional regulation, personal hygiene, daily living skills, and social participation.

What motivates me most as an Occupational Therapist is seeing clients build confidence, develop skills, and feel empowered in their daily lives. I value creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships and believe that trust and collaboration are key to achieving positive outcomes.

I am known for my calm, empathetic, and patient approach, and I aim to make therapy a positive and supportive experience. Whether I am working on daily living skills, community participation, environmental supports, or goal planning, my focus is always on supporting clients to live life in a way that feels meaning in life.
